TASK 1: CHOOSING A DESTINATION (SESSIONS 3 AND 4)
- TYPE OF WORK: Group (all the members decide together) / Individual (everyone must write the same information in the individual trip planner).
- PRODUCT: Destination (Individual Trip Planner - Writing mark)
- ACTIVITIES: Only one activity, write the information about the destination of your trip.
- DEADLINE: Write the information of the country before session 4 ends.
- TIME: Sessions 3 and 4.
Once you are familiar with both vocabulary and grammar related to travelling, you can start your school trip planning....
1. Browse the web and find a list of English- speaking countries.
2. Choose a few posible destinations.
3. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each destination.
4. Choose ONE final destination for the group.
5. Find out basic information about the country you chose and follow the next items:
- Name of the country
- Continent
- Flag
- National symbol/s
- Monarchy? Republic?
- Size (Km2)
- Population
- Currency
- Languages spoken
- Religion/s
- Main festivities
- Weather / Seasons
- Typical food / drinks
- Celebrities
- Important landmarks ( monuments, castles, palaces, universities, cathedrals, nature, etc.)
6. After the cover and the vocabulary list, write the title DESTINATION on your individual trip planners.
7. Copy all the information in the items in point 5 on your individual trip planners. All the members in the group must have the same information.
